"Kevin Roden, from Thor Specialties, also argued that natural is not always safer; adding that in the case of preservatives unapproved natural alternatives may be more toxic than approved synthetic ingredients."(cosmeticdesign-europe.com)
I really enjoyed reading this article titled, Being Organic or Natural Won’t Necessarily make a Product Green. We have to look at the big picture and make sure the natural products really are green.
"Ignoring synthetic options that might prove more efficient is irresponsible; and switching to natural or organic ingredients without fully assessing the environmental impact of the change is similarly reckless."(cosmeticdesign-europe.com)
For example, in order to avoid the petroleum ingredient, tons of trees have been deforested to produce palm oil. And to create just a small amount of natural fragrances, a large amount of plants must be used. Sometimes being natural can be wasteful, for the land could be put to better use, such as for food.
We all must be good stewards of the land and look at how the beauty products we buy affect the earth and people.

I used the Clinique 3-step system last night for the first time.
My skin looked better when I woke up this morning.
I like it!
