Vietnamese Diet Pills?

My Mom told me about some sort of Vietnamese pill that a friend’s sister is taking to loose weight. The friend is going to find out the name of the pill from her sister soon.

I thought I would try to look it up today. She said the pill contains cranberry juice and veggies and her doctor said the pill was perfectly fine to take. I could not find anything like this pill, so I guess I will have to wait until they find out the exact name. The sister lost about 40 pounds and she was full all the time! She has stopped taking the pill and she still feels like her stomach has shrunken.

Diet pills are a big no and can be very unhealthy for the heart. Some diet pills can work in the beginning sure, but they are extremely unhealthy long term. Plus, popping a diet pill encourages the idea that eating healthy and more exercise is not the only way to loose weight, which they are.

Many of those juice pills, such as the acia berry pill are all hype and just a load up of antioxidants. I do not see anything wrong with adding more antioxidants to your balanced diet, but I do not think they will help you to loose a great deal of weight.

Perhaps, the idea of taking a juice pill that says it will aide in weight loss, even though it really does not, will help some to loose weight. The placebo effect really does work. If you believe a pill will help you to loose weight strongly enough, along with eating less and more exercise, then it may happen.

I will update when I get the name of this pill, perhaps it is a old weight loss secret...

I have been shopping online a lot today. I have been wanting to buy a pretty diamond cross necklace lately. Searching for my perfect necklace takes me a long time, because it has to be exactly how I like it. The price has to be perfect too.

While searching on google I found this site called shopwiki.com that helped me shop a lot easier! It searches for the specific necklace that I want and shows the results from every different kind of store on the internet. You can also easily set the price range before you search for you item. This site made it so much faster for me to find my perfect diamond necklace.

I checked out the health and beauty department of the site too, what can I say, you know I love beauty stuff. It was so amazing, that I had to share with you. If you click on the cosmetic guide and foundation for example, it will tell you a great deal of information all about foundation for certain skin types and whatnot... So not only will this site help you to find the right product, but you can learn about beauty at the same time!

Your Mom's Skincare?

What does your Mom and Grandma use on her skin for skincare? My Mom always went by the statement less is more. She uses Clinque moisturizer and makeup remover. She does not use water, just the makeup remover, because water has high pH and can be harsh on your skin. I cannot imagine not using water to wash my face at night, but she gets away with it, her skin is pretty much flawless.

She does use sunscreen sometimes, but not too big on it. She has been a sun tanner her whole life and still is. And yet she still looks really young for her age too!

I do not remember what my Grandma wore. I know she always liked solid perfumes though, which I always thought were so beautifully unique.

Did your Mom or Grandma pass down any beauty secret tips to you? I know they did not worry about aging as much as we do now. Everybody ages and worrying about it makes you more wrinkly.

New Neutrogena Sunscreens

So I was at Wal-Mart today and they had all of the sunscreens out in the main aisle. That means it is sunscreen time. Spring time and summer vacations are just around the corner. Fun time playing in the warm sun is coming.

There were a lot of new Neutrogena sunscreens with incredibly high UVB (SPF) and UVA numbers! There was a new sport one that looked really cool, that I bet would be great for oily skin people for everyday wear. They also had a new Age Shield facial sunblock with SPF 90! Wow!



The U.S. sunscreens have really caught up for European’s sunscreens. Almost all the sunscreens out there are stable. I did not pick up any of these new Neutrogena sunscreens, even though they were tempting. I am still testing out my Coppertone Nutra Shield Dual Defense sunscreen as mentioned in a previous post. Will update about it soon…

Beautiful Living

I have been looking at homes all across the country today. Now is definitely the time to buy, if you can afford it. The homes are all so beautiful. Living in a beautiful place and being happy, can make you radiate beauty as well.

Are you happy where you live? Moving to a new area can be the right move in these uncertain times. Look at new changes as a new chance to pursue your dreams and a new start.

I know this does not have much to do with beauty or skincare, but being happy does affect your skin. And hey, I am a real estate agent too, so I love looking a beautiful pictures of homes.

A change of climates can be great for your skin as well. And if you choose a cute little cabin in Alaska, just bring a great moisturizer with you. Find the right heavy moisturizer and live in the beautiful mountains.

Love Your Skin with Pimples and All!

Do you love your skin everyday? Probably not, especially when you have a huge pimple on your chin, like I do now. However, we should try to love our face everyday. Life is too short.

Who really notices that big zit or several zits? You are the only one who notices it the most. Men really don’t care, and if they do, you are with the wrong one. They see the beautiful you behind those pimples that everybody gets. Do not worry about the red bumps and let the happy confident you shine through.

Single, Love, and Kindness.

Are you single and happy this Valentine’s day? I am. I know that one day I will find love, but right now I am enjoying my life. I love spending time with family and friends.

Cosmetics Should Be Banned?

Cosmetics should be banned, says Baroness

"In an interview with the BBC, prominent Muslim feminist Baroness Haleh Afshar has suggested abolishing cosmetics because they perpetuate a myth of eternal youth.

Invited to propose ‘a radical idea to make the world a better place’, Afshar said beauty products should be banned because they do not allow women to grow old and are peddled on the lie that women are supposed to stay young and pretty forever.

The Professor of Politics and Women’s Studies at York University said make-up is also marketed on the idea that women are judged on appearance and therefore reduces them to the length of their eyelashes.

“Whether our eyebrows are plucked, whether we are white or pink enough, or if we've had a special operation to make our lips bigger or smaller - we are more than that,” added Afshar, who joined the House of Lords in 2007 as a cross-bench peer." (cosmeticsdesign-europe.com)

Yes, we are more than just makeup and an outer appearance. However, banning cosmetics will not make everybody love each other any more. What matters is what comes out of our body not what we put on it. Love comes out of us, from the heart.

There is nothing wrong with wanting to take care of ourselves and wearing makeup that makes us look our best. True confidence and happiness comes from within and no amount of makeup or no makeup is going to change that. Plus, taking away someone’s freedom does not create love.

Lets all love and respect each other a little more from the heart.

Base Coat and Top Coat for No Chipping Nails

I have tried a lot of top coat and base coat nail polishes, as I am sure all of you have. Finding the perfect combo can be hard, they may make your nail harder, but chipping the very next day is not pretty.

Check out some of the nail polish brands I have tried in my past post, Nails Done by You. I like to go by the theory that a perfect manicure can occur from a great top coat and base coat. How expensive the actual nail polish really does not matter, because I have tried a ton of different nail polishes too.

I did not have too much luck with the Orly top coat brand. The polish turned really thick and sticky on me, after only a short time of owning it. I do not know if I bought a bad lemon or what, because so many people rave about that brand.

Right now I am trying Sally Hansen nail quencher base coat and Rimmel super wear up to 10 day top coat. This combo is working fantastic for me. No chips for a whole week! I have not tried them separate of each other, so I do not know, which one works better on its’ own or with a different brand. However, the best part is they both only cost around $5!

After trying this top and base coat combo for several weeks, I can say I am pretty happy. (dusts shoulder with perfectly painted red shiny manicure and then stares at beautiful nails...hehe:)

Slimming Lip Gloss for Springtime

Can you imaging a lip gloss that makes you thinner? I wonder what flavors they have? I bet the flavor of the lip gloss curbs your cravings as well.

There have been other slimming lip glosses in the past, but this one has different ingredients. Check out the article for more information on the other lip gloss. The Huge Lips Skinny Hips lip gloss is very interesting, because they are using a extract from diet pills, that sounds kind of scary to me actually.

I am against diet pills, they can harm your health. The true healthy way to loose weight is to exercise a little more and eat a little less. However this lip gloss is only using a extract that is put into diet pills, so there should not be any harmful effects.

I wonder if this lip gloss will really work? If is does then they should do away with diet pills and use this lip gloss instead. :)

Watch for this slimming lip gloss to come out in the springtime, just in time to get in shape before summer. What do you think, would you give it a go?

Sleep for Safety and Skin

Did you know that one of the major factors of auto-accidents is fatigue? It is right up there with drunk driving and could possibly be higher. Estimating accidents due to fatigue is greatly underestimated, because it is hard to determine. I mean who says it was because they were tired?

Drunk driving accidents by young people are also overestimated. (potsdam.edu) Plus, we have no way of knowing that people who drink and drive are more likely to get in accidents sober as well.

Moral of the story, get your sleep. Being sleep deprived can be deadly for you and others on the road. Doctors have recommended 7 to 8 hours a night for years. Plus, we all know that getting your recommended beauty sleep can only help your skin, since the skin repairs itself while you sleep.

Taking naps is a good idea too, even 15 minutes can do wonders for your safety and skin.

Fun Times Call for Funny T-Shirts

Today is Groundhog day everyone.

Did you celebrate today? I kind of forget it was Groundhog's day all day until right now. So happy Groundhog's Day!

Valentine’s day is next and then St. Patrick’s day. Do you know what outfit you are going to celebrate in on those holidays? I am not sure what I am going to do on Valentine’s day yet, since I do not have a date right now, so that depends. On St. Patrick’s day I always like to wear a cute green outfit.
