I just wanted to let you know that I am on a little vacation this week, getting some much need relaxation and beauty pampering. So I will not be posting much. Yes, this post and the other post this week has been pre-posted for me. I do not say that I am on a vacation to brag though. I am mentioning it because I want to remind you all to take time and have fun in life.

Do not take one second of this short life for granted. There is a time for work and a time to play. Are you making time to enjoy yourself? Do not feel guilty about having fun, you deserve it. Even, if you cannot go on a vacation, try spicing up your daily routine. Or perhaps plan a fun free day over the weekend. Having fun does not have to cost a lot of money, just be a little creative. Have a picnic in the park, visit some free museums around town, go out for a nice stroll with your family.

Crazy Aussie Hair Conditioning Sprays

I ran out of my Aussie Leave-In Conditioner Hair Insurance spray the other day. I went to buy some more at Target and I could not find it. I was pretty bummed, because I love this product. First of all it really moisturizes my hair very well and second of all it is cheap. I have to use this spray after I shampoo and conditioner, because my hair is fine and it gets very tangled.

Then I saw that Aussie had a new product out called Aussie Sun-Touched Conditioning Shine. I figure I might as well try it, because it was a conditioner, plus shine all in one. And I looked at the ingredients on the bottle and it looked very similar of the Aussie Hair Insurance from what I could remember, so I bought it up.

When I got home I compared the ingredients of the two products online and here they are below:

Aussie Hair Insurance:

Water, Amodimethicone, Cetrimonium Chloride, Trideceth 12, Polyquaternium 11, PEG 40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, PPG 2 Methyl Ether, DMDM Hydantoin, Fragrance, Disodium EDTA, Polysorbate 80, Aminomethyl Propanol, Citric Acid, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Silk Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice

Aussie Sun-Touched Shine:

Ummm…they look pretty much identical! I can't believe it. Well, except for the extracts and aloe juice at the very bottom of the lists. Crazy, huh? I did find another difference though. For some reason the sun spray does not spray out nice and even like the hair insurance. Weird, because the spray cap looks similar. I can always buy or find a new spray cap to go on top, or a new spray bottle. Alright, so I am hair happy now. :)

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father’s Day to all you great dad’s out there! Thank you for always being there for your children and all that you do. May God bless our dads or father-figures in our lives!

Below is a video of the history of Father’s Day, that I thought was very moving. The first Father’s Day occurred on July 5th, 1908 when all these men passed away. Grace Golden Clayton mentioned it to her pastor in order to honor these fathers, as shown in the video. Also the history channel talks about Spokane Washington, where Sonora Smart Dodd heard a sermon in 1909 on Mother’s Day and she thought there should be a Father’s Day too. She wanted to show how thankful she was for her father who took care of her and her siblings after her mother’s death.
 
"In 1924, President Coolidge recommended that Father's Day become a national holiday. President Johnson designated the third Sunday of June to be Father's Day in 1966. It was not until 1972 that President Nixon instituted Father's Day as a national observance."(history.com)

Feel Beautiful on the Inside

Itsabluworld.com does not have much to do with beauty, but it does have to do with how you feel on the inside. And feeling good inside affects how we feel on the outside. Itsabluworld.com has an amazing sweepstakes right now with five blue grand prizes to choose from! "Blue,(Da Ba Dee)" I love that song, don’t you!? Coppertone Sport and Water Babies Pure & Simple Sunscreen

My friend and her two little daughters tried out two of the new 2009 line Coppertone sunscreens. She told me she tried out the Coppertone Sport Sunscreen Lotion SPF 70 on herself and it worked really well. She even put it on her face and it did not sting her eyes. And it did not cause her to break out either! Sounds like five stars to me!

Then she tried out the Coppertone Water Babies Pure & Simple Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50 on her children. This new sunscreen has really good UVA protection. Remember, UVA rays cause the burning/aging. This sunscreen did not sting their eyes at all! And they were out in the sun all day long and did not get sunburned at all! She said the sunscreen did not really have any smell that she noticed. Maybe a little powdery smell, but it was not the sunscreeny smell.

I think it is so cool that Coppertone has come out with so many well protecting sunscreens with great UVA protection and great UVB protection with the high SPF numbers!

Men's Perfumes for Dads

Men's perfumes or colognes are a great present for a Dad. Who doesn't like to smell good? Father’s day is coming up this Sunday, June 21st! Do you know what you are going to get for your Dad yet? It is nice to appreciate Dads or a male role model in your life.

I was blessed to have a good relationship with my Dad growing up. One of his great lessons was to never say the word, “can’t," because “can’t” never did anything. Yes, we must choose to believe that we can do in this life. Life throws everybody storms sometimes, it is how we react that matters. We must choose to conquer and believe. Enjoy the Beautiful Present!

Like my new beautiful look?

I actually did not plan on changing up Femme Façade’s blogger template today. However, when I viewed my blog, there was a big warning that read: photobucket.com bandwidth exceeded, update to pro status or something... I searched the error out and it has to do with my template and where the images are hosted.

The template I used was free made by a wonderful template designer. However, she hosted the images on photobucket.com and her bandwidth had exceeded. I went to her website and it had the same message.

So I decided it was time for a new template anyway. Yup, sometimes you just have to flow with the rhythm of life. Things might not always go as planned, so just make the most out of every minute. Always, look for the positive and the good in the bad.

And it is Monday today. So today is a new start. A new start for my beauty blog and a new start in life. Every minute can be a new start. Try not to dwell on the past. Remember the past is gone, the future is not here yet, and the present is a beautiful gift.

Reapply Sunscreen to Avoid Sunburns

Make sure to apply broad spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen this summer, so you don’t get a sunburn! Remember, UVA rays cause the tanning/burning. And reapply sunscreen every 2 hours or after swimming or excessive sweating. However, when you are playing all day in the sun it can be hard to remember to reapply sunscreen. Move Your Body to the Music

I have not been to a concert in such a long time. Do you like going to concerts? What was the last concert you went to? It is fun to get out and enjoy some awesome music. Music is so beautiful to the ears. Relaxing or rocking to some sweet tunes should be a requirement in life every so often. There are a lot of concerts going on this summer that you should not miss, especially FREE ones!

Radio Disney Summer Concert series is starting at the end of June and continues throughout the whole summer until the end of August. Each week an up-and-coming artist performs at Morey’s Pier right on the beach for FREE! How cool is that? The whole family can have a great time on this Jersey Shore beach Vacation. Plus, some of these Radio Disney artists usually make it big, so bring your autograph book! And then crash out at a one of the beautiful Wildwood New Jersey hotels.

Free Skin Cancer Screening

May is skin cancer awareness month and starting from May you can get a free skin cancer screening! However, since it is June or if you missed your free skin cancer screening in May, don’t fret.

The Skin Cancer Foundation has a Road to Healthy Skin Tour presented by Aveeno and Rite Aid. A bus tours across the nation to give you a free skin cancer screening! Check it out to see when they are coming near you. I went last year and wrote a review on Femme Façade, here.

I am going again this year and hope everything turns out good! I hope you can make it to your free skin cancer screening too, it really only took me like 10 minutes last time! In the mean time, don’t forget to wear a broad spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen. Here is a sunscreen list for some good UVA rays protective sunscreen.

Omega 3 Vitamins

My family and I all take Omega 3 vitamin supplements for benefits such as, beautiful skin, better brain function, and cardiovascular health. However, these Omega vitamins can sometimes produce a fishy side affect: Fish Burps!

If you have ever taken Omega supplements you know what I am talking about. The fish oil in the pills will cause you to burp later in the day, leaving a not-so-pleasant fish taste in your mouth.

I have racked my brain on how to solve this fishy dilemma. I tried eating both before and after taking the vitamins, but alas the fishy taste won. Perhaps, the Omega pills are not helping my brain function better after all…hehe.

Fortunately, the producers of Omega 3 pills brain power must have gained a boost from the pills, because there are now Omega 3 vitamins, with no fish burps. It actually says on the bottle, “No fish burps!” haha…

Do You Love Your Job?

It is important to enjoy your job. Life is too short to be stuck in a job you hate. Yes, you should be happy that you have a job right now, but if you do not love your job, it is time to think about finding a different job.

Believe in yourself and take a little risk. Everybody has excuses, don’t fall victim to excuses. Live life to the fullest, you deserve it.

Perhaps, now is the time to take a few classes in a new field that you are interested in. There are a lot of job unique choices out there, such as freelance writer, fashion designer, pet psychologist, or professional hacker!

How cool would it be to be an professional hacker? I am talking about an professional ethical hacker. As a professional ethical hacker you help keep companies, the government, or law enforcement IT Security tight. Hack other hackers out of messing with the computers!

It sounds like Chloe’s job in the TV show 24! How cool would it be to stop the bad guys from taking over the government!

Start off by earning a bachelor’s degree in computer science and take extra college classes online in network security. You can take online hacking classes at your own convenience while working full time. Take classes such as, Security Fundamentals, Ethical Hacking, Penetration Testing, Computer Forensics
, Disaster Recovery, or Secure Programming. Become a Certified Ethical Hacker and keep the world save today! Or if you decide to pursue another passion, whatever you do enjoy your life and your job!

Feet and Summer

I cannot believe summer has come upon us so fast! I love summertime! It is time for playing in the sun. Take time to enjoy this summer. Spend time with friends and loved ones, but make sure you are taking care of your feet.

I hope you get time to take a vacation this summer. There are many ways to take a vacation. Take a little weekend getaway to the next town, go camping, find a new hiking trail, or even a stroll through your own town. Explore what your town has to offer: a forgotten museum, parks, or zoos…

Whatever you do or wherever you go, it usually requires a lot of walking, which is great for your butt and great to get fresh air, but it may not be so great for your feet.
