I am trying to balance my life more. It is important to have balance in all areas of life including health, family, work, recreational, and spiritual. We must not neglect any area, but strive for balance in order to live a full happy life.
We all only have 24 hours in a day, but with smart time management our lives will be more balanced. Set monthly, weekly, daily, and hourly goals and stick to them. Write down your goals in a planner, which I need to do more of, instead of in my head. Writing down the to-do lists really does help keep you on track. We all have to do things we don’t want to do and may put them off. If we can conquer those things first, then we can spend more time on more important things that we do enjoy.
Roll with the punches
Sometimes life does throw us obstacles and we must flow with the rhythm of life. Some days we may only be able to concentrate on one area, and that is okay, but then quickly get back into balance on the other days. No one is perfect and we must give ourselves some slack sometimes.
Negative self talk can be very damaging to a happy life. We should all strive to meet our goals, despite our worst critic, ourselves. Why do we say bad things about ourselves that we would never say to our friends? It has to stop. I am training my brain to think positive thoughts always. Never say, “I can’t,” because “can’t” never did anything. :)
